Hoist Your Sail # 13
Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
At A Seattle Church, we have been talking a lot about identity. God tells us who we are through His word. The world is constantly trying to tell you and your kids a contradictory story. You get the great privilege of speaking life into your kids.
This week, take some time to gather your family or utilized drive time in the car. Spend time sharing intentional words with each other. Choose one family member and everyone else has to share how they see God working in that person. Identify one person to be the secretary and write these words down or record them on your notes app.
As the world tries to slap labels on your children and you, it’s life-giving to be reminded by God and your family of who He made you to be.
Read Galatians 2:20 and discuss as a family what this verse means. If you or your kids love to do art this verse can be written out artistically and displayed in your home.
Last week: We enjoyed family-style service together and lunch afterwards.
