Hoist your Sail # 10
What if someone walked up to you and asked you, “What must I do to be saved?”.
What would your answer be? Would you invite them to church, your community group? Would you call a Pastor? If you wanted to share the gospel with them, do you know what you’d say?
In A Seattle Churches elementary Sunday school class, we have been working on a simple gospel presentation. Our goal is that our kids know the gospel for themselves, and then know how to share with their friends. The method your kids are learning is called Gospel In Motion. This was first introduced by Charles Spurgeon in 1866. Preaching at the metropolitan tabernacle in London, his sermon was entitled, “The wordless book”.
The Gospel In Motion is the wordless book set to motion in a two minute format.
Our friends at Doxa Church in Bellevue recorded it for me.
Please have your kids review this as often as possible. We will be presenting it to the whole church soon.
On Sunday your kids heard the story of Paul preaching in Athens from Acts 17:16-34
Our Big picture question: How do people hear about Jesus?
Answer: The Holy Spirit speaks through Christians to tell others about Jesus so they may repent and be saved.
