Hoist your Sail # 8
Where do you go to find your rest?
“He who dwells in the shelter of the most high will rest in the shadow of Almighty God”. -Psalm 91:1. This verse always leaves me undone. It also comforts me on so many levels. We are invited to live in the shelter of God. What safer place can there be? Why do we run to other things when God has offered to us, to dwell with Him? When we live in the protection of God, we rest in His Almighty shadow. Think about that? Can you visualize climbing into Christ's arms and resting your head on His chest? What if you went about your day accomplishing your tasks, while visualizing yourself in God's arms?
Choose today to run into the shelter of God for there you will find true rest.
-Last week, your kids heard the story of “Christ Alone” from Acts 15:1-35 The main point is: The church in Jerusalem encouraged Gentile believers.
-The memory verse we are working on this month is Acts 1:8. Ask your kids to show you the motions.
-Our big question is: How do people hear about Jesus? Answer: The Holy Spirit speaks through Christians to tell others about Jesus so they may repent, be saved, and live to follow Jesus.
