Hoist your sail: Week 3
Many of you know I love to run. It de-stresses me, and allows me some quiet time to be with the Lord. Last week I went out for a run and it felt amazing. I was running a minute faster than my normal pace and decided to go an extra mile. I was so excited by the ease of this run, and then I hit the turnaround point. As soon as I began running back, I realized I was running against the wind. I wanted to quit. I wanted to walk. It was incredible exhausting! Same is true in our lives. When we are in sync with where the Holy Spirit is moving, things seem effortless. When we run on our own strength and insight, we fatigue quickly. Sometimes we need to Stop, and ask God where He is moving in your life and the lives of your kids. Ask Him to help you redirect to join Him.
In A Seattle Church Kids:
We just finished the third week learning about the Holy Spirit. Two weeks ago the Elementary age kids painted rocks and wrote letters to show God's love. Tuesday some of the staff passed out those rocks and letters to people at Denny Park. It was a fun time to see the Holy Spirit work.
This week your kids will hear the story of Steven’s address from Acts 6:8-7:60
Big picture question: What does the Holy Spirit do? Answer: The Holy Spirit helps Christians follow Jesus.
